Responsibilities:

Project planning (including schedules and budgets) and construction cost estimating as needed from early-stage design through project closeout.

Design coordination including organizing project coordination meetings, developing scopes of services and agreements for hiring architects and engineers, review of drawings and specifications, obtaining regulatory approvals, and preparing payment recommendations for invoices.

Develop bid packages, conduct contractor and equipment vendor selection or bidding, and prepare comparative analyses of bids received.

Advising on the delivery method and contract terms being proposed.

Facilitate project start-up and mobilization. Issue subcontracts. Obtain permits. Monitor and manage on-site construction activities. Negotiate change order payment amounts. Work to resolve disputes quickly and informally. Coordinate formal dispute resolution actions. Distribute progress reports. Maintain project documentation. Expedite substantial and final completion of the work.

Submit and collect progress payments from customers. Provide all documentation required to obtain payment within expected timeframes. Negotiate change order payment amounts. Maintain up to date revenue and cash collection schedules and achieve the scheduled goals.

Facilitate all utility program activities as required to obtain incentive application approval and incentive payment (pre-installation inspection, post-installation inspection, facilitate M&V activities).

Develop quality and safety standards and processes.

Establish work standards, ensure compliance with OSHA guidelines, and the Code of Regulations as required in geographical areas where work is performed.

Obtain favorable customer reference letters from each completed project.
Qualifications:
-
10+ years of experience managing construction projects with multiple trades and contract values exceeding $5M.

An exceptional candidate will have prior experience managing the installation of energy retrofit projects and will have relevant professional certifications (PMP) is preferred.

Good analytical skills necessary to evaluate performance and to generate effective service and quality control strategies.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Ability to proficiently use PC/Office software: Word processing, spreadsheet, and database software.

Basic knowledge of the Primavera P6 software for scheduling and document controls.

Ability to work as a productive member of a team.

Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, changing entrepreneurial work environment.

Ability to work a flexible yet reasonable schedule including weekends and evenings.

Working knowledge and understanding of all laws, rules, codes, and regulations applicable to the work to be performed.

Ability to work well under pressure while performing multiple tasks.

Must possess a valid driver’s license applicable to state laws.
